| Title: Shape Up or Shape Out |
Description
Students will explore their surroundings searching for shapes. Surroundings could be home, school, neighborhoods or even still pictures found in magazines. The class will then compare findings by discussing the outcome. Flip videos will be used to record the search and played back for the whole class or smaller group to determine if they too can find the same number and types of shapes. Once the shapes have been located a class graph can be made to chart the number of shapes and the different types of shapes found. Students may draw pictures to illustrate their findings and post to a blog. Vodcasts can be created to share with other classes and family in their exploration of shapes. |
